The Niagara Falls community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Amiris Hunt-Nuñez, a bright and beloved 3-year-old who passed away suddenly due to natural causes. Amiris was the cherished daughter of Trinity Nuñez and Telazjhajuan Hunt, young parents who devoted every day to caring for their daughter.
From just six months old, Amiris faced immense medical challenges, including an undetected spinal cord injury that led to numerous surgeries and hospital stays. Her parents underwent extensive medical training to bring her home safely, and she celebrated her first birthday at home on July 3, 2023. Despite a life full of medical hurdles, Amiris radiated joy, warmth, and incredible strength, touching everyone around her.
Tragically, her passing was unexpected, leaving her family with not only emotional pain but also financial strain. A fundraising effort has been launched to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, providing support for Trinity and Telazjhajuan during this devastating time.
