Ayr Father Robert Davidson Dies in Spain – Fundraising Appeal Raises Nearly £12,000
A fundraising appeal for Robert Davidson, a devastated father from Ayr, has raised nearly £12,000 following his tragic death during a family holiday in Torremolinos, Costa del Sol, Spain.
The 37-year-old father died after falling from a sixth-floor hotel balcony at the Sandos Griego resort. His fiancée, Daniella Robb, 27, had been asleep with their two children, aged eight and nine, when Robert returned to the hotel room shortly before midnight.
Robert’s death comes just hours before the one-year anniversary of the loss of their daughter, Hollie, who tragically passed away at seven weeks old due to sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
Grief-stricken, Daniella and her children returned to Scotland last week. Daniella shared, “Now, I just want him home.”
The fundraising campaign aims to support the family in the wake of this heartbreaking tragedy and has received widespread support from the community.
