Contina Robinson Obituary, Death: Phenix City Woman Fatally Shot
Phenix City is mourning the tragic loss of Contina Robinson, who was killed in a shooting late Sunday night on 17th Avenue South.
According to authorities, police and first responders were called to the scene just before 11 p.m. on February 15. Robinson was found with critical gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at approximately 11:49 p.m.
A homicide investigation was immediately launched. Early Monday, Willie James Davis, 51, was arrested and charged with murder in connection with Robinson’s death. He is being held without bond at the Russell County Jail.
Robinson’s body was taken to the state forensic laboratory in Montgomery for further examination. Police continue to investigate and urge anyone with information to come forward.
